the vibe starts with the drive
On your drive to Civana resort & spa, you begin to decompress with every curve of the road. The moment you arrive at the wellness resort and step into the space you immediately feel transported. It beacons, let the desert soul retreat begin. The property is spacious, serene, modern welcoming and certainly offers that outdoor flows indoor vibe.
Small touches that really add to the experience begin when you check in, you receive a pocket journal that doubles as your key card, immediately inviting you to connect to the experience and embrace your time there.
Their resort & spa reusable water bottle in hand, I headed to my room so I could settle in. My king bed, soft and welcoming, faced floor to ceiling windows with curtains that opened to the outdoor patio. The walk in rain fall shower was an equally welcoming sight and design touch.
Your stay in this wellness resort is truly a curated experience, customizing wellness to what that looks like for each of us. They accomplish this effortlessly and easily for the guest with fitness and wellness classes, most inclusive to your stay.
all about you
You’ll find options that include a traditional vinyasa flow lawn yoga class, myofascial release sessions, arial stretch & shavasana, sound healing. Also unique classes like an inner intelligence workshop and dancebody to really have some fun with movement. I also opted to add on and attend a mala making class. I encourage you to try something new and perhaps outside your comfort zone. For me, those were the most surprising, fulfilling experiences.
Why choose Civana Resort & Spa? I wanted to sneak away for a few days for a short birthday trip, yet feel like a true escape to focus on mental health and wellness. Civana offers this immersive experience, whether you come from near or far.
Wellness, would not feel whole to me without options for the body, their spa certainly doesn’t disappoint. Calm, natural lit spaces to read in between treatments or just relax. It also offers a separate pool, that feels more secluded and intimate.
Cave Creek itself has some great restaurants that you can visit. My goal for this trip, was all about seclusion and introspection. So I stayed at the resort for all my dining and experiences. Although they offer a food and beverage package, I opted for al a carte dining this visit. The onsite options were a nice balance of convenience and luxury, paired with healthy, fresh options, that still had a comforting feeling.
feeling whole, in this moment
As I write this, I’ve re-visited my journal entries and there are many feelings that arise and many of those, I’ll keep sacred to self. I’ll share that if you are open…to vulnerability, surrendering and staying present, life will illuminate the amazing gifts of abundance that we have, even in what feels like the darkest times.
Today, my hot cup of coffee and a sleeping puppy by my feet as I type feels like true abundance and joy.
The quote from my journal that stands out to me as I wrap up this experience for you…
“the moments of happiness we enjoy take us by surprise. it is not that we seize them, but that they seize us” – Ashley Montagu
Stay present, feel whole, lead with love, joy and passion.
love & light, Kim
